Custom Kitchen Doors 10280

You can buy a condo with sweeping panoramic views over the water in Battery Park for $22 million. A smaller space can run a whisker under $900,000. The sea glass carousel, labyrinth, urban farm, bikeway, gardens, monuments and waterside dining offer experiences that never grow old. This is one of the most beautiful places to live in all of Manhattan.

The kitchen here not only needed some new paint, but also a cupboard above the refrigerator and all new cabinet doors and hardware. We did this. Our carpentry crew crafted the new cupboard and its doors over the refrigerator as well as the other cabinet doors. The homeowner wanted the freshness of white in a satin finish, a softly lustrous paint which is easy to wipe clean. The square knobs and slender handles offer a très chic accent.

You could call this wonderful space for cooking, baking and making coffee Days in White Satin, a twist on the Moody Blues 1967 hit song “Nights in White Satin”. It’s a song heavy on love. We loved creating and re-facing these cabinets and fulfilling this homeowner’s brilliant vision of a more sleek and sophisticated Battery Park kitchen.
