Interior Painting in Bed-stuy 11233

Before
After

With abundant architecture, heritage and culture from the 19th century blending nearly seamlessly with its contemporary shops, art, food, family-friendly atmosphere and drink scene, Bed-Stuy offers a tranquility not found in many neighborhoods. It only makes sense that one homeowner would want that kind of peacefulness to reside in the bedroom, a personal sanctuary for reading, rest and relaxation.

The reading part here is why we installed sconces in the walls on either side of the bed. Snuggling into bed with a magazine, book or tablet can positively impact your mood and provide a sweet respite from day-time life. We cut into the walls, let an electrician run the wiring, then patched it all up and painted the whole room. The restful deep steel gray is color matched to Farrow & Ball’s Down Pipe. They loved the color but wanted a matte or washable flat finish.

This homeowner can walk home from Passionfruit Coffee, a French meal at Chez Oskar or Southern comfort food at Peaches and slip into bed with a sweet little reading light before drifting into dreamland. Dark colors add warmth and sophistication to any room with a hint of drama. We painted it expertly, leaving a little magic behind.
