On the ground level of a 3-story brick building in the Greenpoint neighborhood in Brooklyn, School of Thought offers incredibly thoughtful, handmade, every day clothing items. Designed for comfort and crafted with care, each piece is hand made in New York City using high quality fabrics and materials.
Hardwood floors and tastefully uncluttered displays make shopping a relaxing experience. We recently stepped in here, not to shop, but to finish a dressing room. It might sound like jewelry or accessories that we installed beadwork, but in construction terms, beadwork refers to the thin metal strips bent at 90 degrees installed on corners. They strengthen a corner and offer a cohesive surface to plaster, prime and paint. We also put up new drywall and trim pieces. When all was taped and plastered for a smooth finish, we primed and painted the new wall spaces and trim. In the end, it looks as fresh, new and functional as the clothing line.
