For a family of four moving to a new home in the classy Upper East Side of Manhattan, interior renovations were imperative to reflect their style, values and personalities prior to moving in. They also wanted their new home to be bright and inviting, i.e., their happy place. Raised trim adds interest and intrigue while not overwhelming the conversation.
Installing box panel molding requires experience and outstanding skills in carpentry, priming, painting, engineering, mathematics and aesthetics. It begins outside the site with choosing the best, meaning the straightest, of trim boards. Inside, floors, furnishings, other rooms are all protected from the upcoming project. It’s a real life exercise in measure twice [or thrice] and cut once, lining up mitered corners, confirming everything is square, parallel and precise. When we finished the precision work of installing box panel molding on 3 walls and painted everything, including doors, in the same fresh crisp white, well, we wanted to offer a grand Welcome Home banner to this family!
